ASHKAN MEMARIAN

is a Los Angeles-based director and child of two immigrants from opposite sides of the world — El Salvador, and Iran. He grew up in the suburbs of Southern California, playing soccer, skateboarding, and drumming in a band fronted by his older brother; it wasn’t until college that he discovered a passion for filmmaking. After graduating from BYU’s film program, he began to hone an emotional, ultimately uplifting visual style that has made him a favorite with brands ranging from Adobe to Sony. Ashkan is represented in the US Latino market by The Cortez Brothers, Inc.
