NIXON FREIRE

A self-taught, 30-year-old multi-platform artist, Nixon works across moving images and still photography alike. He was both the Director and DP on the ESPN “Inequality Balls” project that won Silver at the 2018 Cannes Lions, the still photographer on the Mitsubishi “Stop Guessing” campaign that took home Bronze at the 2015 Cannes Lions, and holds a number of other awards for his imagery. His brand experience includes Puma, Jeep, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Powerade, Nike and Stella Artois. He is the director of “Road to Tokyo,” an introspective journey about the future of skateboarding as the sport is most likely to be included in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. It tells the story of a skateboard that (just like the Olympic torch is passed) is ridden by 8 skateboarders, from Spain to Japan, as the community debates the International Olympic Committee’s decision and its effects on skateboarding.
